A Day In The Life

There had been a lot of "my day" posts going around the last few weeks so I figured I'd give it a shot.

I woke up and oh, boy was I sore.  So I nearly fell out of bed.  I'm not a morning person, so I stood in front of the mirror and stared.  Finally,  I managed to drag a comb across my head.

I finally made my way downstairs and had a cup of tea.  The movie "The Road" was on, but I didn't bother to watch it.  I'd read the book after all, and that was enough.  Instead I read the newspaper for a few minutes.  There is so much bad news these days that I'm at the point where I just have to laugh to keep sane.  When I looked up at the clock I noticed I was late.

I found my coat and hat and was out the door.  Luckily, I made it to the bus stop with seconds to spare.  While sprinting for the bus, I noticed there are a ridiculous amount of potholes out on Edwards Street.  They are going to have to do something about that - it's the reason I'm flatting so much.

When I got to the office I picked up the new issue of Triathlete magazine.  The phone rang, and then someone spoke.  But it was too late - I was already dreaming about all the cool new bikes for 2011.

Later I went to see my swim coach.  And now I'm typing this.

Kafkaesque day. Hopefully this is atypical. You also forgot about the part where you had sunshine in your soul.

Lots going on here dude ...

First, very cool that Ed Kowalczyk is wearing one of your shirts! Does he do Tri's too?

Oh, and a good way to save some time in the mornings might be to skip the combing. Seems rather pointless now doesn't it?

And you actually still read a newspaper? They still print newspapers? You Californians are so old school!

The bus? Really? How do you get your bike to work?

Oh and please share some of the 2011 TT pics. If you can't tell I have been going through a TT porn phase!

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Classic !! I too read the comb line in my head more than once :-) sadly have not used one in a couple years. My wifey shaves it with a 3 and bleaches it platinum blonde. I will likely do this until the horseshoe on top takes over completely. Which is propbably not far off, but I have been saying that for a couple years now so who knows.
