I'm Dreaming About You Guys Now

I don't remember who it was, but didn't someone do a post recently suggesting that everyone bound for the Boston Marathon meet up while in town for the race?  I must have read something somewhere because last night I had a dream that I was your driver.  We had a huge passenger van and I was driving everyone around while solving the nonsensical problems that always come up in dreams.  You know the kind of "problems" I'm talking about - like when you have to be at the airport but you also have to pick up cupcakes at the same time because the old man with the parrot that speaks French is having a birthday party.  I don't remember much more (though I do recall EMZ being demanding), but I woke up in a good mood.

Things kept rolling right along until after lunch when I could no longer put off finishing the first draft of a 2011 sales budget.  Since budgets are about as exciting watching grass grow, my mood naturally tempered somewhat.  Then things got even worse at 3:30 when I had to go to a meeting to deal with some lingering ghosts of businesses past.  So frickin' annoying.

But then two things happened.  First I went swimming - a 70 minute session with my coach.  Even the 10x25 yard sprints on :40 where fun.  And on the drive home, this song came up on my Ipod.  It's "Duel" by Swervedriver, one of my favorites from a long time ago.  I listened to it twice.

Now I'm happy again.

I believe there are medicines that can help with those kinds of mood swings. Can't help you with Emily, that's just how she is.

Ha that is awesome. Isn't it funny how music can change our moods just like "that"? (Imagine me snapping)

Glad you found the song that helped. I have to tailor the music I listen to before work so that I hopefully go in with a good attitude.

I was the girl selling cupcakes if you didn't recognize me. Music does always set the mood. But I love budgeting. Give me a cubicle some spreadsheets and a 10 key pad and I'm in heaven.

I'm confused. Oh well, whatever. You could write about a brown paper bag and it would be interesting and well written.

funny, I just had a triathlon blog dream... I was in Hawaii having an A.R.T. session on the beach while a bunch of people in a boat watched and shouted out suggestions. Bree Wee was there, supposedly to work on me because she knew some trick to fixing my hamstring, but then had to run off. Really weird. Time to stop reading tri blogs :-)
