Get Your Design On

My friend and fellow OC Velo member Nan Kappeler owns a cool company called T-Mat Pro.  T-Mat Pro makes transition mats in bold colors and/or patterns that (for me anyway) will soon replace the goofy and threadbare old beach towel I've been using.  The mats are both cool and functional - the bright colors will help you find your spot in transition, and when the race is over they roll up easy, clean easy and store easy.  Think mini yoga mat.

For the next round of mats, T-Mat Pro is reaching out to the masses for design ideas.  Check it out:
T Mat Pro, the leading triathlon transition mat is offering you an opportunity to win a free mat by entering a design. We’re looking for super cool images to put on our neoprene mats that motivate, inspire or just look way good out there. For example, an image from the Hawaii World Championships or from a picture paired with an inspirational quote. Your design doesn’t have to be triathlon specific—it could just be a really swanky pattern. If we choose your design for our sample run, you’ll receive a free mat—with your design. Up to five submissions will be chosen. Just remember not to use photos and images that are not yours or you do not have permission to use. All images become the property of T Mat Pro. Deadline for submissions is January 20, 2011 at contact@tmatpro.com. Image may be in jpeg format. If selected, we will help convert to an art file. Check out our current mats and details about T Mat Pro at www.tmatpro.com.
What does this mean to you?  It means it's time to get your Rembrandt, Degas, Basquiat or Haring on.  If I was you, I'd spend some time on your next long run thinking about the graphic that will make the perfect mat.  Even if you are just a runner, the mat will come in handy for something.  Plus all you pure runners know plenty of triathletes anyway - the mat will make a great gift.

Submissions go to contact@tmatpro.com and are due by January 20th.  So this means to enter you don't have to follow me, Facebook friend me, retweet anything, leave a comment or join EAP.  But you can do any of those things if you want.

Good luck being creative...

that sounds a bit too much to me... we're used to leaving the stuff on the grass under the bike over here. I guess I'll have to give it a try, LOL

You think they will make me a mat with a 3D turd on it? So other triathlete will see it and think there is a pile of crap next to my bike, thus forcing them to stay away from my stuff. No one will ever "accidentially" step on your mat again!!
