Are Bike Helmets Dorky Looking?

Will someone please kick my ego back in check? Not only am I "borrowing" EMZ's idea about pictures, I'm posting self portraits - again.

But I'm just saying.....Though I would never not wear a helmet, they look kinda' dorky don't you think?

So here's the deal, the first 8 people to hit me up at 17281posse (at) gmail.com with a set of comparison photos, permission to post them on a page of pictures I will make and a mailing address gets a couple packets of GU.

Note -Again I can't stress enough that everyone should wear a helmet!!! But with you guys I'm sure I am preaching to the choir. I'm going out to proudly dork out now.

Ironic... And yes, dorky. I just got a new helmet and was trying to decide last night if my new helmet looked dorkier than my old one. Too bad I didn't take pics for the world to decide!

Some helmets look more dorkier than others. I'm still having trouble getting past how funny my aero helmet looks from the front view. The things we do for speed!

It has to produce a SUPER SWEET "farmer tan" though?! Those head stripes would have to be smokin' hot!

And I'm bummed, I don't have a super sweet or super dorky bike helmet - - but I'm ALL about the photos . . . ;) trying to think what ELSE I can stick on my head for a photo op?! ;)

I always feel kinda dorky with one one. But, necessary evil, right?

I used to think the same. Until I fell riding around the bay. Tons of road rash. Broken jaw. Four theeth gone. Concussion. But - thank goodness the helmet cracked and not my head!

I'd joke to the hubs that he looked like a dork in his until he was cutoff, broke his shoulder blade and wacked his mellon. The helmet save his pumpkin and took a huge crack in it.
Dork away dear...dork away....

I'm with Emz on the stripes. You gotta respect a man walking around in the world with stripes.
