EARTHQUAKE!!!!

It's funny how I was talking about earthquakes in my post about pro cycling a few days ago, because we had one this morning at about 4:15 AM.  The first (and really only) shock must have been pretty strong as it woke Mary and I up.  Ian and the dogs kept sleeping.  I suppose it's nice to not have an ingrained sense of responsibility once in awhile.

It turns out it was not that big, only a 2.7 magnitude, but the epicenter was only a mile and a half away.  TRI714, did you feel it?

I haven't felt an earthquake in awhile. The last one I felt was crazy strong! My entire bed was shaking. :)

I will leave that natural diaster type to ya'all. The one I have had to deal with all my life was tornados and really we just watched fly by from the trailer park! :)

You should ride your bike to the epicenter and check it out!

That is a little too close for comfort - much like the meth house that exploded 1.5 miles from my house. Or maybe not.. LOL

And, those are the days that I DON'T miss California. Was in the Bay Area for the big one in '89. Good times. Glad you're all ok! But, a 2.7? That's kind of like a massage chair.

I have luckily never felt an earthquake and I can't imagine how scary it would be even a small one. Yikes!!

Yikes! Glad you're ok! When I lived in CA I never felt one. Every single time I left the state for a trip they would have a small one. Suits me fine!!

I think I am experiencing an earthquake probably 5 times a week. No joke.... is that weird?

They keep talking about the "BIG quake" Seattle is supposed to get...yikes.

That is wickedly close! I remember when I was young there was a big earthquake off San Diego in the ocean - great surfing for days afterwards.

That must have been scary. The only time I ever felt an earthquake was back when I was 12 0R 14 and we had the Newcastle Earthquake.
